Job summary

Alcami is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Associate to support daily warehouse operations, handling materials, loading/unloading shipments, picking orders, and staging products for production and distribution. You will work under the Warehouse Lead to ensure inventory accuracy and safe material handling in a cGMP environment.

Responsibilities include using ERP and inventory systems, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a pharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Material handling and order fulfillment: Load/unload freight and pick and stage materials per production and shipping needs.
  • Inventory control and documentation: Use warehousing systems to maintain accurate records; inspect freight and note discrepancies.
  • Equipment operation and warehouse safety: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks; follow cGMP/cGDP safety practices and report issues.
  • Warehouse organization and team support: Keep a clean, organized workspace; coordinate daily activities with leadership to meet schedules.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Shipping Associate plays a critical role in supporting daily warehouse operations by handling materials, loading and unloading shipments, picking orders, and staging products for production and distribution. Working under the Warehouse Lead, this position ensures inventory is moved, stored, and documented accurately while operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently. The Warehouse Shipping Associate requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and cGMP/cGDP standards, and proficiency with warehouse systems and inventory management tools. Success in this position depends on maintaining warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and a clean, safe work environment while meeting production and shipping timelines.

On-Site Expectations
  • 100% on-site position.
  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
Responsibilities

Material Handling & Order Fulfillment

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight safely and efficiently.
  • Pick, stage and move materials according to production and shipping requirements.
  • Process goods returned from production (finished goods, components, or semi-finished goods) and ensure materials are placed in the correct inventory locations.

Inventory Control & Documentation

  • Use warehouse scanning systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Inspect freight for damage and complete required documentation for discrepancies or returns.
  • Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to track material movement and inventory status.

Equipment Operation & Warehouse Safety

  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Follow warehouse safety practices, cGMP/cGDP requirements, and proper material handling practices.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, damaged materials, and safety concerns promptly.

Warehouse Organization & Team Support

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Coordinate daily activities with warehouse leadership to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and support cross-functional warehouse operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory best practices.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work efficiently to meet production and shipping deadlines.

The employee will frequently be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and vibrations, occasionally work in an office or lab environment and be exposed to wet or humid conditions, and work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. This position works with moderate noise levels.
