Summary:

The Shipper Receiver must follow all plant safety, GMP, and Food Safety rules and regulations. Responsibilities include pulling orders using FIFO, loading/unloading trucks, rotating production from production to warehouse, and maintaining good housekeeping. The role may back-up the Forklift driver and Material Handler. This position does not have direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties in accordance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP, and SOP.
  • Notify incoming trucks to correct dock doors, chock wheels, lock out airline.
  • Check trailer contents for correctness before receipt.
  • Report damaged products to Quality Assurance.
  • Match shipping bill of lading and pick ticket.
  • Pull and stage using FIFO and pickup ticket.
  • Verify order accuracy before loading onto trailer.
  • Load product onto trailer and complete ship confirmation.
  • Assist as backup on bottling lines as needed.
  • Follow all safety rules, including LOTO, and keep area clean.
  • Responsible for food product quality and safety.

Education:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Forklift certification required.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 1 year experience in food processing, bottling, liquid filling, or consumer goods manufacturing.
  • Required: 2 years forklift experience.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in high temperatures, at heights, and with PPE.
  • Must be able to work overtime and on short notice, including on-call duties.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to see, sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, reach, bend, twist, ascend/descend.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., more with assistance.
