Job summary

Polytainers, Inc. in Lee's Summit, MO seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to lead shift safety, quality, and performance. You will coach the warehouse team, ensure strict adherence to processes, and drive a culture of continuous improvement while meeting cost targets.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration with Planning, Customer Service, Production, and Quality to ensure service excellence. Plastics/food packaging experience and WMS proficiency are a plus.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in plastics and/or food packaging industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, compliance and food safety, acting as on-shift Competent Person.
• Own shift KPIs including OTIF, inventory accuracy, and labour productivity.
• Lead cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies with root-cause analysis.
• Develop daily labour plans and manage overtime and temporary staff.
• Coach and develop team, applying fair policy enforcement and performance reviews.
• Lead problem solving (5 Whys) to prevent recurrence and drive improvements.
• Coordinate with Planning, Customer Service, Production, and Quality for alignment.
• Maintain housekeeping, visual management, and efficient material flow.
