Job summary

Relogistics is seeking a Shift Lead at our Hammond, LA facility to help maximize team productivity while upholding safety standards. You will work closely with the On-Site Manager to set shift schedules and ensure service levels for local customers, with pay starting at $20.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of supervisor or lead experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Set shift schedules with the On-Site Manager to best service local customers.

• Track movements on proper forms in a timely, legible manner.

Overview

As a Shift Lead, you’ll help ensure your team of co-workers are maximizing their overall productivity during each shift, while adhering to the highestsafety standards.

Hourly Pay:

$20.00/hr

Shift(s):

Thursday - Sunday: 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM

Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Tuesday: 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Work with the On-Site Manager as he/she to sets shift/operating schedules to best service the local customer(s)
• Assist with recruiting and developing employees.
• Ensure company policies regarding Safety and HR are followed
• Order and maintain suppliesand arrange for office equipment maintenance
• Assist with forklift driver duties as needed
• Track movements in a timely/legible manner on the proper forms
• Assist in managing employee relations issues, locally, in conjunction with the OSM

• Load and unload materials from trailers and move to the appropriate staging area within the facility
• Check to make sure loads are secure
• Ensure that all daily equipment checks on all Industrial power equipment are being performed
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standard
• Perform basic financial data entry
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

What You'll Need

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
• Forklift operators are required to sit for long periods of time
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.
