Johnson Matthey is seeking a Warehouse Shift Lead in Devon, PA (12‑hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) to supervise a warehouse shift and ensure safe, timely material flow. You will oversee training, security, stock accuracy, and adherence to procedures while driving continuous improvements in a manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes supervision, inventory control, and collaboration with leadership to meet supply and logistics goals.

Qualificações

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education desired or equivalent experience.
• Experience supervising a shift team; union experience preferred.
• Experience in receiving, inventory control and domestic traffic procedures desirable.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment desirable.
• Experience with automated inventory control and scanning materials is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a shift team to ensure safe and secure warehouse operations (receipt, movement, storage, dispatch).
• Oversee training of new workers on procedures and standards.
• Organize warehouse security for safe receipt, movement, storage and distribution of goods.
• Maintain stock accuracy and oversee stock takes, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Ensure movement and quality inspection of products across locations to meet schedules.
• Manage personnel processes (absence, performance, overtime, holidays) per site policies.
• Promote customer focus and delivery mindset within the shift and warehouse team.
• Monitor and improve warehouse procedures; lead 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
• Conduct incident investigations and provide clear action recommendations.

Ensuring movement of material and stock safely and on time.## **The Role:** **As a Warehouse Shift Lead, you will help drive goals by:*** Leads a shift team to ensure that operational warehouse activities (e.g. receipt, movement, storage and dispatch) are undertaken safely and securely within established procedures and policies.* Oversees training new workers in the sites operating procedures and standards.* Organizes warehouse security to ensure safe receipt, movement, storage and distribution of goods and services.* Maintains overall stock accuracy and control within the warehouse; oversees stock takes, ensuring that relevant procedures are effectively followed in both the storage and movement of products.* Ensures the movement and quality inspection of products across multiple locations to meet required supply and logistics schedules in line with service delivery standards.* Manages many staff processes e.g. absence, operator performance, overtime and holiday; likely to be involved in other related personnel issues in line with site/JM policies.* Ensures shift/team/warehouse undertakes all tasks with a customer focus and delivery mind-set.* Monitors the effectiveness of warehouse operating procedures and make clear recommendations for improvements.* Leads both adherence and improvement to 5s standards in in the warehouse.* Leads Kaizen and project initiatives and supports a culture of continuous improvement.* Will undertake relevant incident investigations with route cause analysis leading to clear action recommendations.## **Keys that will help you succeed in this role:*** High school diploma required.
