Warehouse Senior Industrial Engineer - Ryder Last Mile (remote)

Job Summary

This position supports Ryder's Continuous Improvement culture by applying continuous improvement methods to enhance operations. The Engineer will identify and implement data-driven CI, Engineering, and Automation initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role involves leveraging data analytics, engineering methodologies, and lean tools to identify root causes and eliminate inefficiencies. The Engineer will collaborate across all levels of the organization and report to the Lead Engineer, CI Manager, or Sr. CI Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data; map and document processes; identify process gaps; recommend and implement improvements; develop and execute continuous improvement plans.
• Manage CI and engineering projects to improve business results; support certifications and automation projects; liaise with operations management and clients.
• Develop expertise in engineering methods, lean tools, and quality standards; coach employees on CI, QA, and lean principles; apply methodologies like product slotting, labor standards, layouts, and data analysis.
• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events; coach process owners on lean practices.
• Generate regular reports to track progress; recommend inventory and supply chain strategies.

Additional Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor quality management systems (QMS).
• Implement corrective actions; support regulatory compliance and certifications.
• Perform quality assurance functions for startups or expansions; perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of engineering and data analysis functions, warehouse design tools, and automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 5+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years.
• Expertise in MS Office; intermediate skills in data visualization and database programming preferred.
• Experience with lean tools, engineering methods, warehouse design, and automation solutions.
• Certifications like Lean Six Sigma, PMP, ISO/QMS are preferred.

Compensation

Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
