Job Summary

This position supports Ryder's culture of Continuous Improvement by applying methods to enhance operations. The Engineer will identify and implement data-driven CI, Engineering, and Automation initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role involves data analytics, engineering methods, and lean tools, interfacing with all levels of staff, and reports to the Lead Engineer or CI Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data, map processes, identify gaps, and implement improvements to enhance key metrics.
• Lead CI projects, support certifications, and automation initiatives, collaborating with management and clients.
• Develop expertise in engineering and lean tools, coaching employees in their application.
• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Report progress and recommend strategies for inventory and supply chain improvements.

Additional Duties

• Design and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Implement corrective actions and support compliance standards.
• Perform Quality Assurance functions for startups or expansions.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, and lean methodologies.
• Knowledge of warehouse design, automation, and logistics operations.
