Job summary

Publix Super Markets, Distribution division, is seeking a warehouse selector to join our team in Florida. You’ll pull products, place on pallets, wrap orders, and prep for delivery using state-of-the-art technology.

The role rewards efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. We value reliability and safety; candidates must be 18+, willing to rotate weekends/holidays, and able to lift heavy loads while maintaining high quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Read, write, identify and verify numbers.
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations.
• Operate pallet truck or forklift when required.
• Must be able to pass a Physical Agility Test (where applicable).
• Be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Pull products ordered by Publix stores and place them onto pallets.
• Wrap finished orders and prepare them for delivery.
• Use warehouse technology to locate items and ensure accuracy.
• Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain shelves and assist with loading and unloading as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities

YOU determine how much you earn as a warehouse selector. The more orders you complete safely and efficiently, the more money you earn each week! The average Publix selector performs at a rate greater than 100% which means that you, too, can earn above standard pay. Are you the competitive type? It pays to be the best because selectors are rewarded for working efficiently and with accurate results.What if your work was also your workout? Selectors are constantly walking, lifting, bending, and stretching. If you’re into sports, cardio, strength training, weightlifting, running or bodybuilding, this job will help keep you in shape. Selectors pull products ordered by Publix stores, place them onto pallets, wrap the finished order, and get it ready to be placed on a truck for delivery. To increase their efficiency, selectors use state-of-the-art technology to notify them of the products that have been ordered and where they are in the warehouse. Our warehouse selectors are team players and instrumental in helping keep our shelves stocked in our more than 1,400 store locations.The responsibilities listed on this posting are not intended to be all-inclusive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to:
• Work a rotating schedule which includes some weekends and holidays
• Work fluctuating shifts, when needed
• Select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing
• 67 pounds for high velocity
• Stand, bend, stoop, twist, and do repetitive work for long periods of time
• Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside of the operator compartment
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before their start date in the position)
• Perform job duties efficiently, accurately, and safely
• Read, write, and identify and verify numbers
• Interpret, understand, and follow instructions and
• Pass a Physical Agility Test (before the start date in the position), as applicable

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.The bonus for this position is 8 hours of pay when a new associate joins Publix prior to July 1.There is no bonus in the first year for associates hired after July 1. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to 8 hours’ pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
