Job summary

Try-it Distributing is seeking a Warehouse Selector to accurately pick orders and build pallets for delivery. The role requires operating electric forklifts and pallet jacks, lifting up to 165 lbs, and following all safety and SOP guidelines.

The position starts with a 55-working-day probation and leads to union membership. Candidates should have a high school diploma and warehousing experience or training, plus basic math and reading comprehension. Training will be provided on-site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 1–2 years related warehousing and forklift experience or training recommended.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Mathematical ability: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Knowledge of Internet software and ability to learn and use assigned company equipment.
• Excellent communication and people skills to respond to any situation.
• Understanding of product dating system.

Responsibilities

• Select orders accurately and neatly for delivery per company standards.
• Construct pallets and lift products up to 165 lbs.
• Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks; become certified on all power equipment.
• Maintain safety, follow SOPs, and comply with OS&H and state laws.
• Assist with training and other warehouse duties as assigned.
