Job summary

UNFI in West Sacramento is seeking an Order Selector to efficiently pull and palletize orders in a fast-paced warehouse. You will handle product movement, shrink wrap pallets, and place items in designated locations, ensuring safety and accuracy.

The role requires lifting 90+ pounds, working in a refrigeration environment, and adherence to HACCP/SQF guidelines. Weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and potential incentive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Related warehouse, construction, or physical labor experience.
• Experience with electric pallet jack or reach lift required.
• Understanding of Safety guidelines and basic RF system functions preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 90+ pounds continuously.
• Must be ok with working in a refrigeration/freezer environment (32 to -10 degrees).
• Ability to understand and follow selecting procedures and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Selects various grocery, perishable, frozen or repack products from warehouse stock.
• Reports adjustments to inventory counts, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and out of stocks.
• Transports product throughout warehouse via electric pallet jack.
• Maintain order selection performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage and maximum safety.
• Assist other department personnel during peak workloads or absences.
• Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.

Schedule: 1:30pm or 4pm start time. This will be a 4-day work week, 10-hour shifts with mandatory overtime depending on business needs. Sundays are a mandatory workday.

Starting Pay: $23.25/HR + incentive pay!

Job Overview

In this fast-paced role as an order selector, you will be responsible for safely, accurately and efficiently pulling orders within our warehouse. You will also palletize the orders, shrink wrap the pallets and place them in the assigned locations.

• Assists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workloads require or during absences of division personnel.
• Performs duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures.

• Good judgement is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
