Job summary

US Foods is hiring Warehouse Selectors in Montgomery, AL. Start at $18.27 per hour with potential incentive pay. Work Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday from 5:30pm to 5am or until work is done.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K and life insurance. You will safely select orders, build and wrap pallets, and move products to the dock using order selecting software and equipment. Physical work includes lifting 20–80+ lbs and enduring multi-temperature environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings and follow safety coaching.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, Sundays through Thursdays.
• Experience in high endurance or highly physical activity preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders and build pallets.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate electric pallet jacks.
• Move products from racks to pallets and verify correct items are picked and undamaged.
• Deliver palletized orders to the correct dock area and wrap for shipment.
• Help clear aisles and return equipment to charging area.

Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy* Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet* Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment* Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free* Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders* Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area**Physical Requirements*** Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required* Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required **What You Bring to the Table*** ***Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed**** Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required* Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.* Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred* Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferredCompensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).
