Job summary

US Foods is hiring a Night Warehouse Selector in Memphis, TN. You will safely and efficiently select customer orders, palletize and wrap pallets, and use order selecting software to move products to the dock area.

The role requires comfort working in a multi-temperature environment, lifting 20–80 lbs, and operating a motorized pallet jack. Compensation starts at $24.91 per hour with incentive opportunities; average weekly pay around $500.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English for trainings, safety coaching, labels and reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Recent experience in high-endurance or highly physical activity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders; ensure products are correct and undamaged.
• Palletizing: build and wrap pallets to meet productivity/accuracy standards.
• Operate pre-shift equipment checks and electric pallet jacks safely.
• Transfer products from racks to pallets using order selecting software.
• Transport products to dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.
• Collaborate to maintain clean and safe aisles; return equipment to charging area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Night Warehouse Selector - Position Overview

As a Warehouse Night Selector at US Foods®, you will play a crucial role in our fast-paced, dynamic environment where speed, agility, and accuracy are key to our success. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently select and prepare customer orders, ensuring that all products are accurately selected and palletized in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders, confirming that selected products are correct and undamaged.
• Palletizing: Construct and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.
• Operation: Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate electric pallet jacks.
• Fulfillment: Transfer products from racks to pallets using order selecting software.
• Staging: Transport products to the designated dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.
• Collaborate: Work with the team to maintain clean and safe aisles and return equipment to the charging area.
• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from less than 0 degrees to over 100 degrees required. Lift, carry, push, pull, and lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required. Continuously stand, grasp objects & manipulate objects; occasionally sit; frequently walk, drive pallet jack, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, & use manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such that they can attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays are required.
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.

Compensation

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $24.91 and $36.00 per hour. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation and incentive compensation based on productivity.
