Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Warehouse Asset Protection Officer to supervise physical security at the distribution center, including the security desk and yard gate house. You will control access, monitor shipments, perform inspections, answer calls, and coordinate with first responders when needed.

The role involves conducting CCTV tours, yard checks and incident reporting, while maintaining asset protection records and logs.

Qualifications

• Security experience is preferred.
• Certifications as required by state law where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Authorize employees, visitors, contractors and carriers to access the facility or yard.
• Verify and process all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Conduct employee, visitor and contractor inspections to deter theft.
• Answer and direct all incoming phone calls.
• Conduct CCTV camera tours, visual inspections, fence checks, yard audits and emergency responses.
• Complete shift reports, incident reports and inbound and outbound logs.
• Maintain all asset protection records.
• Able to stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.
