Job summary

Hammer-Head-Security is seeking a dependable Warehouse Security Officer to maintain safety and security at our client’s Milpitas, CA facility. You will monitor operations, control access, inspect docking areas and log incidents with attention to detail.

The role requires alertness, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a visible security presence during the shift from Thursday to Sunday and Monday rotation.

Qualifications

• Valid Guard Card required.
• Warehouse security, access control or security experience preferred.
• Strong observation, communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Comfortable using smartphones, radios and electronic reporting platforms.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Monitor warehouse operations to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the warehouse, loading dock, and exterior areas.
• Conduct routine inspections of entrances, docks, doors and exits.
• Ensure dock doors remain closed when not in use.
• Remain present during loading/unloading to prevent unauthorized access.
• Observe shipping/receiving activities for compliance with security procedures.
• Control access for employees, visitors, vendors and contractors.
• Verify identification and authorization before granting access.
• Enforce after-hours access procedures and deny entry without proper authorization.
• Inspect access points for propped doors or bypassed controls.
• Complete DARs, incident reports and access logs accurately and on time.
• Utilize radios and reporting systems to document daily activities.
• Assist with monitoring inbound/outbound deliveries and site security.
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.
