Warehouse Sanitation Worker (1st & 3rd shift)

Southeast Unloading is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to maintain cleanliness within a warehouse environment, including interior and exterior docks, restrooms, break areas, and office spaces.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain cleanliness of floors using brooms, mops, shop vacuums, and floor scrubbers.
• Operate power jacks for deep cleaning of rack floors.
• Follow sanitation checklists and work assignment orders for cleaning and supply maintenance.
• Use cleaning tools such as sponges, wash rags, squeegees, and towels.
• Adhere to Material Safety Data Sheets for chemical handling and storage.
• Use personal protective equipment and apply knowledge of chemical safety.
• Perform pre-work inspections on tools and equipment.
• Empty waste and recycling bins for removal or bundling.
• Load recyclable materials into balers for compaction.
• Empty portable trash dumpsters into the hopper.
• Identify areas needing maintenance or cleaning based on visual inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills in English.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong work ethic and excellent attendance.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Interact courteously with staff, vendors, and customers to promote positive morale.
• Remain organized, focused, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, push, and pull continuously during work.

Requirements upon hire
