Job summary

Sysco (old) seeks a dedicated custodian to perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitation across the warehouse facility. You will dust, sweep, mop, scrub floors, and maintain clean restrooms, aisles, and docks while adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include waste disposal, recycling support, daily sanitation logs, and reporting unsafe conditions. The role requires independence, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-year warehouse related experience and/or training.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Read and write simple correspondence.
• Speak effectively with co-workers and in small group settings.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties across the facility including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and dispose of trash daily; clean spills.
• Clean coolers, floors, aisles, and mezzanine areas; scrub docks.
• Operate and maintain safety and cleaning equipment; report unsafe issues.
• Support recycling and stretch wrap programs; transport materials for balers.
• Complete daily sanitation logs for planning and evaluation.
• Follow safety rules to minimize accidents; work with supervisor.
