Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Warehouse Sanitation Technician to perform sanitation and general maintenance in a non-exempt warehouse setting. The role includes cleaning duties, basic plumbing/mechanical tasks, and ensuring safety compliance under supervision from AVP of Warehouse Operations, Director of Compliance/Safety & Security, and Warehouse Supervisor.

This on-site position requires punctuality, adherence to policies, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment and power tools as needed.

Qualifications

• No formal education or specific experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to follow safety policies and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation and general maintenance of the facility.
• Handle minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical tasks.
• Keep areas clean: offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and warehouse spaces.
• Dispose of trash, recycling, and damaged product to reduce carbon footprint.
• Monitor safety procedures and document compliance.
