Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Safety Specialist to guide and support the Stop & Shop Distribution Center’s safety initiatives. You will work with site leadership to implement programs, assess risk, and drive continuous safety improvements across a 1,000,000 sq ft facility with around 100 employees.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1-5 years in safety management, plus strong coaching and communication skills to educate managers and teams on safety standards and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deploy and lead safety strategy within the Stop & Shop Distribution Center.
• Measure effectiveness of safety programs and update as needed.
• Support safety processes to minimize worker injury risk.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Identify best practices to continuously improve safety systems.
• Teach and mentor leadership on safety and regulatory expectations.
• Deliver safety training programs for associates and leadership.
• Conduct internal safety assessments and lead safety committee meetings.
