The role requires reading schedules and orders, moving items, placing goods on racks, and entering records into a computer. Responsibilities include accurate stock handling, packing, shipping preparation, and adherence to HACCP and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order or requisition to determine items to be moved.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other areas.
• Uses computer to enter records and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Prepares parcels for mailing and records quantities moved.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule to determine items to move or distribute.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Places materials on racks, shelves or bins according to product code.
• Fills requests for materials and distributes to production workers.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and prepares pallets or shelves.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens containers and records amounts received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure accuracy.
• Arranges stock for assembly by other workers.
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items or pick up items.
• Maintains inventory records and ensures proper temperatures per HACCP.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
