Job summary

The Runner No-Driving position at HMSHost is based at JFK IAT and handles shipment reception and related clerical tasks. You verify shipping records, ensure proper packaging, unpack goods, check for damage, and coordinate with transport companies under supervision from the Warehouse or General Manager.

This non-exempt role requires delivering timely service, ticketing, stocking, and inventory tasks while following security and safety procedures. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to internal and external customers in receiving and processing merchandise and supplies.
• Complies with delivery schedules; accurately, timely, and efficiently processes deliveries.
• Executes ticketing process according to Company standards.
• Accurately and efficiently stocks shipments.
• Pulls, prepares, and processes daily orders according to requisitions generated by the stores.
• Reviews orders for accuracy.
• Utilizes computer to manage accurate inventory for warehouse operations.
