Job summary

Diakon Logistics, Inc. in Richmond, VA is hiring warehouse staff to move products safely and efficiently. You will report to the Operations Manager and work with the Delivery Supervisor to keep items flowing through receiving, staging and shipping areas.

This is a full-time on-site role with a 6-day workweek and a 2:00 AM to 10:30 AM shift. The hourly rate is $18–$20, DOE, plus medical benefits, a 401(k) with company match, and paid vacations and holidays.

• Forklift/clamp truck experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determines moving requirements by obtaining work orders and manifests.

• Maintains a safe, clean work environment following procedures and regulations.
• Completes warehousing/shipping tasks to support operations goals.

Job Overview:

Warehouse staff will report to the Operations Manager. They take pride in moving products through the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner. Warehouse employees should be able to locate items in the warehouse quickly and efficiently. They work cross-functionally with the Operations Manager and Delivery Supervisor to keep things moving smoothly in the warehouse with a goal of exceeding the client’s and Company’s expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Determines moving requirements by obtaining work orders and manifest.
• Retrieves inventory by locating and verifying materials; stacking and securing materials; moving materials to staging area or to/from transportation vehicle using a hand truck, clamp truck and/or forklift.
• Maintains inventory and shipping records by completing logs.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Accomplishes warehousing/shipping and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.

Hourly Rate

$18-$20/hour, DOE
