Job summary

TLD is a 45,000 square foot warehouse in SE Baltimore City near Highlandtown, offering new and used building materials to the public. This full-time role reports to the Store Manager and requires 35-40 hours per week, 8 am–5 pm, Monday–Saturday, with Saturdays required.

As a Warehouse Retail Associate – Inventory Coordinator, you will coordinate inventory, support floor staff with merchandising, and handle cashiering duties with professional client service in a busy, indoor/outdoor warehouse

Qualifications

• Retail, warehouse or construction experience.
• Prior cash handling experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in a warehouse environment - inside/outside (hot & cold, dusty), with loud heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Coordination: Process incoming materials timely and within TLD's guidelines.
• Product Merchandising: Support floor staff by making signs for product as needed, continued updates and warehouse walks to ensure accuracy.
• Cashiering: Count in and out processes, process cash and credit card sales; complete closing paperwork and daily reports; provide courteous service.
• Warehouse Support: Assist with offloading, inventory and stocking incoming product; forklift needs after certification.

JOB TITLE: WAREHOUSE RETAIL ASSOCIATE - INVENTORY COORDINATOR

SALARY/BENEFITS: $18-$22/hourly dependent on experience. After meeting eligibility requirements, full-time

employees may join TLD's health coverage plan, accrue paid leave and access a 401(k) retirement plan.

FULL TIME: 35-40 hours/week. Within 8 am - 5 pm Monday-Saturday; Saturdays required. Reports to Store Manager.

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW: TLD is a 45,000 square foot warehouse full of new and used building materials

that are made available to the public. Located in SE Baltimore City near Highlandtown, TLD is the nation's first

successful, self-sustaining non-profit building materials reuse center, founded in 1984.

POSITION GOALS:

1. Coordinate Product Inventory.

2. Follow cashier and cash handling procedures & communicate effectively with clients.

3. Assist with product stocking, inventory, signage and display.

4. Assist with store open/close procedures.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

1. Retail, warehouse or construction work experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory Coordination

-Process incoming materials timely and within TLD's guidelines.

-Participate in bulk purchased inventory program – counting and tracking purchased items (ex: paint).

Product Merchandising

-Support floor staff by making signs for product as needed, continued updates and warehouse walks to ensure accuracy.

-Keep product excels up to date.

-Maintenance of assigned product sections: stock, replenish, sweep, remove trash, check for current signage, safety.

Cashiering

-Count in and out processes completed correctly. Accurately process cash and credit card sales transactions.

-Assist with cashiering administrative duties (closing all shift paperwork, daily reports, etc)

-Professional and courteous client service on the sales floor, through check-out process and in all client communications.

-Follow front end zone responsibilities including scheduled bathroom cleaning participation.

Warehouse Support

-Assist floor staff with warehouse projects.

-Assist with offloading, inventory and stocking incoming product.

-Assist with forklift needs, after TLD's test and certification.
