Job summary

Ben E. Keith is seeking a Warehouse Refrigeration Spec Asst.

to assist in overseeing governmental compliance, maintenance and repair of our ammonia refrigeration system and to support the warehouse building maintenance department. The role involves maintaining evaporators, condensers, compressors, vessels and pumps, keeping repair records and ensuring EPA/OSHA/PSM/PHAs compliance; flexibility and basic electrical, welding, and plumbing skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic understanding of electrical control switches.
• Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Certification in ammonia refrigeration.
• Hazwoper certification preferred.
• Must have all hand tools to complete assigned work.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining evaporators, condensers, compressors, vessels and pumps including overhauls and rebuilds.
• Assist in keeping accurate records on repairs and walk through inspections on entire refrigeration system.
• Assist in maintaining EPA/PSM/HA/OSHA/Homeland Security compliant record keeping.
• Assist in annual reporting of testing and inspection items.
• Assist in maintenance of interior and exterior lighting on Ben E. Keith property.
• Assist in all building electrical systems and repair.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC.
• Build and fabricate guards to protect equipment.

Warehouse Refrigeration Spec Asst. Position

The Warehouse Refrigeration Spec Asst. position will assist/train in overseeing governmental compliance, maintenance and repair of our Warehouse Ammonia Refrigeration System. This position also supports our warehouse building maintenance department.

• Assist in maintaining all evaporators, condensers, compressors, vessels and pumps including overhauls and rebuilds.
• Assist in keeping accurate records on repairs and walk through inspections on entire refrigeration system.
• Assist in maintaining acceptable record keeping system to comply with EPA (including PSM and PHA compliance), OSHA, ANSI, and Homeland Security.
• Assist in the annual reporting of testing and inspection of A) Vibration Testing B) Oil Sample Analysis C)Refrigeration Water Treatment D) Thermo-graphic Scans
• Assist in the maintenance of all interior and exterior lighting on Ben E. Keith Property.
• Assist in all building electrical systems and repair.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC ( office air conditioning system)
• Building and fabricating guards to protect equipment

Job Qualifications

• Must have a basic understanding of electrical control switches
• A basis understanding of electrical wiring
• Basic welding and metal fabrication skills
• Knowledge of basic plumbing
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Certification in ammonia refrigeration
• Must be willing to obtain Hazwopper Certification
• Must have all hand tools to complete assigned work
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge in the use of a personal computer
• High School diploma or GED
