Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Warehouse Recycling Associate to support recycling facility operations, including collection, sorting, and processing of materials. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools to move materials safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safe loading and unloading of recycling materials, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and various hand tools.
• Inspect, hand-sort, grade, and accurately count recyclable materials.
• Create, prepare, and maintain all shipping documents and logs.
• Inspection of Material Handling Equipment for repairs/maintenance needed.
• Ensure the work area, equipment, and tools are clean and stored properly.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• May be required to cross-train and perform other duties.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Warehouse Recycling Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of recycling facilities by assisting with the collection, sorting, and processing of recyclable materials.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Safe loading and unloading of recycling materials, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and various other hand tools, to and from trainers per the standard operating procedures.
• Inspect, hand-sort, grade, and accurately count recyclable materials.
• Create, prepare, and maintain all shipping documents and logs.
• Inspection of Material Handling Equipment for any repairs/maintenance needed.
• Ensure the work area, equipment, and tools are clean and stored properly.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• May be required to cross-train and perform other duties.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Good visual acuity including close vision for computer work.
• Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard or handheld device.
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day.
• Ability to repetitively lift, bend, carry, and push.
