Job summary

Triple-S Steel is seeking a motivated Production Equipment Operator at our Galveston, TX location to read and execute work orders and meet customer requirements. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and involves overtime as needed and adherence to Safe Methods of Work.

• Ability to successfully multitask.
• Prior warehouse experience a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of items unloaded from trucks and trailers; reports discrepancies per policy.
• Verifies and records all items loaded for receiving.
• Maintains receiving records for categories including goods returned and pallets.
• Maintains shipment data to ensure updated orders and proper billing documents.
• Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
• Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle.
• Loads trucks or railroad cars using a forklift.
• Performs other clerical duties.
