Job summary

Staples is seeking a warehouse associate to support a busy distribution center in Coppell, TX. You may be assigned to six areas, from Bulk/Material Handling to Shipping, and will move products safely using forklifts and pallet jacks.

Basic qualifications include 3 months in a warehouse, ability to lift up to 100 lb, and capable of passing a drug screen. We offer competitive pay, PTO, and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
• If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime hours may be required.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs.
• Move product within the warehouse following safety procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of product and address discrepancies and damages.
• Unloading trucks and palletizing products as needed.
• Move returned products and match item quantities with packing slips.
• Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets, and load trucks manually.
