Job summary

Ameraflex Sealing Products in Deer Park, TX, is seeking an energetic warehouse associate to support receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment during Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM. This in-person role reports to the Purchasing Manager and requires attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities include verifying PO vs packing list, updating ERP notes, staging, issuing materials, cycle counts, and operating forklift.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, delivery and/or inventory is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of distribution experience in pulling orders, staging items, issuing materials and/or cycle counting is preferred.
• Experience handling high volume inbound/outbound distributions is preferred.
• Must be punctual and able to work each day.
• Ability to read a tape measure and operate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive in all items from vendors and verify count, dimensions, lb rating, drawings, etc.
• Verify PO versus vendor packing list and tag materials for orders and stock.
• Keep paperwork current and filed throughout the day.
• Notify relevant people of PO issues.
• Enter PO items into ERP daily and update notes.
• Put away stock items and pull/stage materials for orders.
• Stage items in ERP and issue materials to work centers.
• Assist with cycle counts and cover other shop areas as needed.
• Operate forklift and order picker; maintain a safe, clean work area.

Ameraflex Sealing Products (ASP) is a 60-year-old well-established gasket and supply company located in Deer Park, TX that services a wide range of customers within the industrial, petrochemical and OEM markets. We supply standard and custom gaskets and related items as well as proprietary products including SEALON®. The ideal candidate is an energetic individual, a team player, and can provide services necessary for the efficient operation of Ameraflex: This is an In-Person position with operating hours of M-F, 8AM-5PM. This position will report directly to the Purchasing Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Receive in all items from vendors when delivered. Verify count, dimensions, lb rating, drawings etc. to verify all are correct
• Verify our PO versus vendor packing list. Tag all material for orders and stock
• Make sure all paperwork is current and filed in the proper place throughout the day
• Notify correct people of any issues with a PO
• Receive PO’s in ERP system accurately; check to make sure all PO’s are received in daily
• Update notes in ERP system as items come in
• Put away stock items, pull orders and/or materials
• Stage items in ERP system
• Issue materials to work centers,
• Issue materials in ERP system
• Help with cycle counts
• Fill in for other areas in the shop as needed
• Operate forklift and order picker
• Keep work area safe and clean

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Minimum 1 year of working experience in shipping, receiving, delivery and/or inventory is preferred
• Minimum 1 year of working distribution experience in pulling orders, staging items, issuing materials and/or cycle counting
• Previous experience handling high volume inbound and outbound distributions is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive demeanor, dependable and strong work ethic
• Must be punctual and able to work each day
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Self-starter with ability to learn our systems quickly
• Continue focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to stand, crouch and lift objects up to 70 pounds throughout a normal workday
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
