Job summary

CITY HOME - Ocoee is seeking a Receiving Associate in Ocoee, FL. The role centers on efficiently receiving furniture into the distribution center, labeling products, and ensuring barcode accuracy to minimize variances. The position offers a base pay of $18 per hour with potential increases to $20.50 based on tenure, plus an extensive benefits package.

Full-time hours are 6:30 AM–6:00 PM, with no travel. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• No high school diploma required.
• Warehouse/distribution center experience preferred but not required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical ability test.

Responsibilities

• Unload products using proper handling techniques to minimize damages.
• Attach labels and verify SKUs to ensure barcode accuracy.
• Verify purchase orders for accuracy of received products.
• Inspect products for damages and report to Supervisors.
• Operate order pickers and tuggers safely.
• Stage products in correct zones to minimize damages.

What This Role Is…

As a Receiving Associate, the primary function of this position is to receive furniture into the distribution center efficiently with no damages. The Receiving Associate is also responsible for attaching labels to products, verifying SKUs and product information to ensure bar code accuracy, and reduce inventory variances. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Operations Department at CITY HOME.

Pay Rate: $18/hr

Compensation: This Receiving Associate role in Plant City starts with a base hourly rate of $18.00, w ith opportunities to advance up to $20.50 through tenure-based increases. The compensation is complemented by an extensive benefits package.

What You’ll Do…

As a Receiving Associate, your primary responsibilities will be to:

• Unload products utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages and prevent personal injury
• Attach labels to products and verify SKUs and product information to ensure bar code accuracy and reduce inventory variances
• Verify purchase orders to confirm accuracy of product received
• Examine product for damages, notifies Supervisors of damaged products, documents reasons for damages
• Operate order pickers and tuggers in a safe manner
• Stage products in accurate zones and utilizes proper handling techniques to minimize damages

What’s Required…

• Education & Work Experience:
  • No High School diploma required
  • Previous warehouse/distribution center experience preferred but not required.
• Full-Time 40 Hours per week, must be available between the hours of 6:30AM - 6:00PM
• 0% of Travel
• Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting up to 75lbs+, working at high heights, bending, prolonged standing and walking
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
• WMS – High Jump (preferred but not required)
• Certifications / Licenses:
  • No certifications required
