ShopRite’s Receiver position in Bottino NJ is responsible for delivering a great customer experience while maintaining a neat, safe warehouse and ensuring accurate receiving of deliveries. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to company policies in a fast-paced retail environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong English skills, basic math, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a collaborative attitude.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading, writing, and spoken English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried, and/or processed products.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Friendly, helpful customer interaction.
• Cooperative team player.
• Must be 18+ to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grocery storage area for cleanliness and readiness for next shift.
• Handle damaged or returned stock following policy, prioritizing refrigerated items.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail and quantity accuracy.
• Complete Wakefern report cards.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Follow safety procedures for opening cartons and product rotation.
• Use department equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
