Job summary

Gold Star Foods in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Day Receiver to join our Warehouse team. This full-time role handles inbound shipments, inspection, and recording of products to maintain accurate inventory.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, verify orders, contribute to cycle counts, and help ensure food safety in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and forklift certification are preferred; willingness to obtain certification is acceptable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Experience in warehouse receiving, preferably in the food industry.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments from trucks using forklifts/pallet jacks.
• Inspect shipments for damage and discrepancies; report issues.
• Verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Record and update inventory in the warehouse management system.
• Label and store received items in designated locations.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits.
• Prepare daily receiving reports for the Receiving Supervisor.
• Coordinate with suppliers and drivers to ensure timely receiving.
• Maintain clean and organized receiving area.
