Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Houston is seeking a warehouse Receiver to oversee the receiving dock area, inspect and verify incoming materials, and ensure accurate records in the inventory system. The role supports safe, efficient movement of goods and collaborates with forklift operators to stage items for production.

Qualified candidates have 6–12 months warehouse experience, ability to lift 10–35 pounds, and willingness to work overtime. Full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to lift 10–35 pounds and work in multi-temperature environments.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and maintain a safe work area.
• Review work schedule and prepare for operations.
• Open loading dock doors and prepare area to receive products from trailers.
• Receive and verify items against the receiving schedule and bill of lading.
• Perform damage checks on items and coordinate appropriate action.
• Identify, label and store supplies, and enter PO data into inventory system.
• Coordinate unloading/transport to staging areas and assist forklift operators.
• Perform housekeeping and keep areas clean and organized.
• Complete vehicle inspection and required paperwork at end of shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
