Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking a warehouse associate to oversee the receiving dock area and ensure accurate inspection, counting, labeling, and storage of materials and supplies. You will enter information into the inventory system and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role supports the movement of products through the production process and requires teamwork within the department and organization. Training and opportunities for advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 months of warehouse and/or distribution experience.
• Able to work scheduled shifts and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly.
• Able to lift 10–35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and keep work area safe.
• Review schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, and prepare supplies.
• Wear required PPE and safety gear.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Open loading dock doors and prepare area to receive products.
• Inspect incoming trailers and take appropriate action if needed.
• Receive incoming products, verify against the bill of lading, and record counts.
• Coordinate unloading to staging areas with forklift/pallet jack.
• Perform housekeeping and keep area clean as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
