Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood is hiring a Warehouse Receiver in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on receiving, logging, and issuing materials to stockrooms and designated locations. You will verify goods against purchase orders, inspect for damage and expiration, and ensure accurate inventory control.

Starting pay is $17 per hour with benefits after 30 days of employment. A safe operation mindset and ability to work independently or with a team are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.
• Ability to perceive auditory warning signals and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log and issue materials to stockroom or designated location.
• Check goods received against bills of lading or purchase orders.
• Check goods for damage and expiration dates; identify histamine seafood items and cross contamination risk.
• Sort, count and verify received items; maintain clerical records.
• Operate warehouse equipment to move goods and place in designated locations.
• Perform returns and rotate cooler/freezer for USDA requirements.
• Maintain inventory control and assist with other duties as assigned.
