Service Steel Aerospace is seeking a Receiver to join our Canton, Ohio team. The role involves receiving and unloading mill deliveries, inspecting materials, and entering data into our inventory system.

You will use calipers and tape measures to verify dimensions and quality, while coordinating with Quality and Operations to resolve issues and maintain production schedules. The position supports a standard Mon-Fri schedule and offers comprehensive benefits as part of a growing aerospace

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Forklift experience preferred/certification.
• Ability to read and understand material test reports.
• Experience using calipers and tape measures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming metal shipments from mills and vendors.
• Unload trucks and shipping containers using a forklift.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, dimensions, and quality.
• Verify mill test reports to ensure specifications.
• Enter shipment data into the inventory system.
• Measure materials with calipers and tape measures.
• Complete receiving paperwork including first article inspections.
• Manage warehouse inventory and organize materials.
• Update work orders with production status.
• Work with Quality and Operations to resolve issues.
• Prioritize work to meet production schedules.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Receiver to join our team! The schedule will be Mon-Fri 8?30 am to 5:00 pm. This position receives mill deliveries and receipt of outside processing work orders. As the Receiver you will unload mill trucks, handle outside processing orders and receive all this material into the SSA inventory control system within our quality inspection process.

• Receive incoming metal shipments from steel mills and outside processing vendors.
• Unload trucks and shipping containers using a forklift.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, correct dimensions, and quality.
• Verify mill test reports (documents that certify the material meets required specifications).
• Enter shipment information into the company's inventory management system.
• Measure materials accurately using calipers and tape measures.
• Complete receiving paperwork, including first article inspections.
• Manage warehouse inventory and keep materials organized.
• Update work orders with the correct production status.
• Work with Quality and Operations teams to report and resolve any material issues.
• Prioritize work to meet production schedules.
