Sirna & Sons Produce is a fourth-generation, family-run, wholesale food distributor. In our 81 years of service, we have continually provided premium produce, competitive pricing, and superior service. We are proud to bring you the finest quality products from growers nationwide, worldwide, and locally. We’re more than produce; need dairy? We have it! Last-minute catering, no problem. Our in-house produce processing facility, Christine’s Cuts, we got you covered. We distribute our fresh arrivals 6 days a week to restaurants, hotels, country clubs, schools, and institutions throughout Ohio, Central Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia. Essential Functions:

• Removes orders from incoming delivery trucks, reconciles Purchase Orders (PO) against inbound products for deviations, and ensures receiving accuracy; documents expiration dates, quality, or temperature deviations on PO’s.
• Verify product temperatures by pulping and utilizing a temperature recording device to ensure company standards are maintained.
• Print receiving ticket labels for inbound freight and properly label to meet company standards.
• Integrates stock in accordance with company rotation and standards of First In, First Out (FIFO).
• Double checks received items for quality and verifies product expiration dates are within acceptable range; notifies supervisor of any discrepancies or concerns.
• Seeks clarification and advice from supervisor or quality team when unsure of product condition or quality.
• Check and record cooler temperatures ensuring correct temperatures for assigned cooler per company standard.

Competencies, Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Speak and write English satisfactorily.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Active listening skills.

Physical Demands:

• Stand or walk for long periods.
• Must be able to lift to 80 lbs.
• Work in cold and wet cooler environments for extended periods.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday.
• Start time: 8:00 am.
