Summary:
The Warehouse Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse by overseeing the receipt and inspection of incoming goods and materials. The Warehouse Receiving Clerk works closely with other warehouse team members, suppliers, and delivery personnel to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the timely delivery of goods to the appropriate departments or storage locations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Receive, verify, and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, document incoming produce shipments accurately, verify quality and purchase order conformity, and promptly report any issues.
Maintain accurate inventory data by recording and correcting product logging information, managing inventory levels, and organizing products.
Perform receiver operating standards and processes in compliance with company policies and regulations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with suppliers and the food warehouse team to ensure efficient handling of materials, accurate and timely fulfillment of food orders, and adherence to food safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with departments to facilitate timely delivery of materials, optimizing workflow and interdepartmental cooperation.
Adhere to receiving procedures, including proper labeling, sorting, and organization of items, following storage and inventory protocols.
Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks for efficient movement of goods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area and food warehouse, promoting a safe and hygienic environment.
Monitor and enforce adherence to inventory rotation principles, such as First-In-First-Out (FIFO).
Optimize warehouse layout, organization, and workflow to enhance productivity.
Train and mentor warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and best practices for improved performance.
Performs other assignments assigned by managers
Qualifications:
Experience in receiving or forklift operations is preferred.
Previous equipment operation experience, such as pallet jack and forklift, is preferred.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using common software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and office software.
Service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
Excellent attention to product details and ability to follow instructions, procedures, and company policies.
Ability to prioritize daily assignments based on supervisor instructions or schedules.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
Good manual dexterity for the use of processing equipment such as a box cutter.
Visual acuity to inspect products and ensure quality standards are met.
Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 lbs or more with appropriate equipment and techniques.
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as required to perform job duties.
Working Conditions:
This job is performed in a production environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors associated with food production.

The pay range for this job is between $17 and $18 per hour. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
