Job summary

Barrett Distribution Centers, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products for clients, reporting to the ICQA Manager. The position runs from 7:00am to 3:45pm, Monday through Friday, with a compensation of $19.00/hour.

You will read blueprints, approve or reject raw materials, measure dimensions with calipers, maintain testing records, and ensure safe and compliant operations across the warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in warehouse/distribution with quality control exposure.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 or similar quality standards preferred.
• Strong reading/writing in English; bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and instructions to understand quality expectations.
• Approve or reject raw materials and record supplier performance.
• Select samples and test using appropriate methods and record results.
• Use calipers and gauges to verify dimensions and product specs.
• Maintain testing records and report findings to the ICQA Manager.
• Ensure safe, compliant work environment and proper equipment use.
• Keep knowledge current through training and publications.
