Job summary

ACME Construction Supply in Boise, ID is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to ensure accurate picking and packaging of orders before shipment. The role focuses on identifying issues, documenting errors, and maintaining records to support accountability and continuous improvement.

Daily duties include assisting with material handling, stamping and labeling orders, and verifying outbound orders for quality. Strong computer skills and attention to detail are required.

• Must have good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in systems such as Solar Eclipse, Innovo, etc.
• Ability to interact with coworkers, customers and vendors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and resourcefulness.
• Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Assists with material handling in the warehouse as needed.
• Efficiently pulls and prepares customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms, sometimes with material handling equipment, and stage them for review.
• Stencil, tag, or mark orders as requested.
• Performs these duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
• When necessary, wrap orders.
• Safely and efficiently unloads inbound shipments and moves product to bin locations, and efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
• Reviews all outbound orders to ensure order accuracy and quality standards.
• Safely and efficiently moves product from staging onto delivery vehicles or customer vehicles.
• Combine and repack any orders that require such handling when needed.
• Report quality variances and handle the sub-standard product as requested.
• Ensure that the repack location is stocked with specified products, track inventory, replenish inventory, and keep the work area neat and organized.
• Document the specific types of products used for repacking, the source locations, and the remaining damaged product.
• Provide input for improvements to quality control program.
• Actively promotes and personally observe safety and security procedures, including the proper use of equipment and materials.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
