Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee GMP compliance and food safety throughout the shift
  • Perform routine quality assessments on active production lines
  • Verify production documentation including samples, lot tracking, labeling, and logs
  • Audit scales and metal detectors and isolate non-conforming materials
  • Manage QA sample retention and stock levels of QA materials
  • Escalate safety risks and halt lines when critical issues arise
  • Support maintenance requests and mentor new staff
  • Prepare reports on discrepancies and maintain QA records

Job description

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our food production facility located in the Skokie/Niles, Illinois region. This is a full-time, third-shift position offering competitive weekly compensation.

Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee food safety protocols and staff adherence to GMP standards to ensure a secure production environment
  • Execute routine quality assessments on active production lines throughout your shift
  • Verify all production documentation, including sample retention, lot tracking, labeling, and metal detection logs
  • Conduct regular audits of scales and metal detection equipment
  • Isolate any materials that fail to meet our rigorous food safety or quality benchmarks
  • Complete environmental and equipment ATP swabbing alongside changeover validations
  • Perform comprehensive audits for allergens, glass, magnets, and brittle plastic components
  • Manage the organization of retain samples and oversee the stock levels of QA materials
  • Ensure consistent GMP compliance and provide reports on any observed discrepancies
  • Execute internal facility audits while maintaining accurate quality assurance records
  • Support the team by initiating maintenance requests and mentoring incoming staff members
  • Protect our high standards by escalating safety risks and halting production lines when critical issues arise
  • Complete various other quality-related tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of high school is mandatory, while higher education is considered an asset
  • Minimum of one year of experience within a food manufacturing quality or operations role
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations
  • Strong ability to manage time and organize daily tasks efficiently
  • High level of precision and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Dependable team player who prioritizes safety and works well without constant supervision
