Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply in Little Rock, AR, seeks an entry-level warehouse associate to assist with daily operations, stock shelves, and prepare products for delivery. The role is a 1st shift with minimal overtime and occasional Saturday mornings.

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with weekly pay, health insurance, and paid holidays. The position is safety-sensitive and requires pre-employment drug testing; candidates should be able to obtain a power-truck certification and a DOT medical card if

Job description

Supports the day to day operations while being sure to report returns, transfers, shortage and credits. Responsible for other aspects of warehouse functions when needed: including stocking shelves, inventory reconciliation, preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. Schedule is 1st shift Monday through Friday with minimum overtime (Saturday morning work required only a few times a year). Entry positions start at 16.50 per hour with weekly pay, health insurance, paid holidays, and the possiblilty for rapid promotion with Elliott Electric Supply makes our company a good choice for employement.

This is a safety-sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. The test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED with warehouse, distribution or customer service experience preferred, but not required. Must be able to identify product by size, type, style, color code/sku. Must be able to read orders/match orders without error on shipping tickets and stock items while manually entering correct catalog numbers. Basic math skills and reasoning skills. Ability to obtain certification of power-truck equipment. Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices. Organizational skills, attention to details and general data entry competence is a must! Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card and/or delivery driver experience is highly desirable, but not nessasary.

Physical Requirements:

Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment position. 75% of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing. Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
