This hybrid position plays a vital role in supporting the company's warehousing, logistics, and production needs at Food for Thought, a subsidiary of Tamarack Holdings. You'll drive a CDL-B vehicle, perform warehouse duties, and provide hands-on production support 2-3 days a week. Flexibility is essential, as daily tasks will vary depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation (CDL-B Driving):

• Operate a CDL-B vehicle with an airbrake endorsement for scheduled deliveries and pickups.

• Primarily drive routes within Michigan's Lower Peninsula, with occasional interstate trips as required.

• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain DOT compliance.

• Safely load and unload materials and finished goods.

Warehouse Operations:

• Pick and pack orders following FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelines.

• Receive inbound materials, verify against packing slips, and coordinate dock appointments.

• Generate Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and shipping labels.

• Conduct routine cycle counts and assist in physical inventory checks.

• Stage materials for production and internal transfers.

Production Support (2-3 days/week):

• Assist in the production room with tasks like staging ingredients, operating cooking equipment, and handling finished goods.

• Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), sanitation procedures, and safety standards.

• Support end-of-day cleaning, line changeovers, and shift transitions.

Work Environment:

• The role involves working across warehouse, production, and driving environments, with regular exposure to cold storage, heated processing areas, and outdoor weather conditions.

• PPE is required in the warehouse and production areas to ensure safety.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid CDL-B license with airbrake endorsement

• Warehouse experience

• ERP system experience: Fishbowl experience a plus

• Manufacturing or production experience (preferred)

• Current DOT medical card and a clean driving record

• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks in varying environments
