$22 / hour Weekly Pay

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure produce quality from receipt to shipment meets US Foods specifications.
- Perform daily inspections of incoming fresh produce and inventory in coolers.
- Decide to accept or reject produce at receiving, following PACA laws, and withdraw non-conforming produce from inventory.
- Collaborate with management to address food safety concerns and maintain inspection records.
- Coordinate with replenishment lead on damages, re-work, and dumps.
- Communicate with the team on produce issues, making recommendations on rejections and re-packaging.
- Verify purchase order quantities and inspect inbound loads for quality.
- Inspect inbound trucks for pests before unloading.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs for receiving, storing, and shipping produce; report issues.
- Record temperatures of inbound loads and report violations.
- Check produce rotation and perform quality inspections in inventory.
- Remove outdated produce daily and document dump and damage reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Replenishment Lead, Drivers, Selectors, Operations
External: Vendors, Suppliers, Third-party Consultants, Regulatory Bodies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 2 years experience in produce or perishables receiving and inspection.
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Knowledge of USDA Specs, Grades, Standards, and PACA laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant hardware/software.
- Completion of US Foods Produce Inspector Course within 60 days of hire.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods.
- Team-player, flexible, eager to learn and adapt.
