Schedule: Sunday (6am – 12pm); Monday– Thursday (8am – 4:30pm).
$22 / hour Weekly Pay

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure produce quality from receipt to shipment meets US Foods specifications.
  • Perform daily inspections of incoming fresh produce and inventory in coolers.
  • Decide to accept or reject produce at receiving, following PACA laws, and withdraw non-conforming produce from inventory.
  • Collaborate with management to address food safety concerns and maintain inspection records.
  • Coordinate with replenishment lead on damages, re-work, and dumps.
  • Communicate with the team on produce issues, making recommendations on rejections and re-packaging.
  • Verify purchase order quantities and inspect inbound loads for quality.
  • Inspect inbound trucks for pests before unloading.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs for receiving, storing, and shipping produce; report issues.
  • Record temperatures of inbound loads and report violations.
  • Check produce rotation and perform quality inspections in inventory.
  • Remove outdated produce daily and document dump and damage reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Replenishment Lead, Drivers, Selectors, Operations
External: Vendors, Suppliers, Third-party Consultants, Regulatory Bodies
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years experience in produce or perishables receiving and inspection.
Related Experience/Requirements:
  • Knowledge of USDA Specs, Grades, Standards, and PACA laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant hardware/software.
  • Completion of US Foods Produce Inspector Course within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Team-player, flexible, eager to learn and adapt.
