Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC in Cranbury, NJ is hiring a daytime custodian to maintain a clean, safe office and warehouse environment. You will perform cleaning tasks, restock supplies, and collaborate with the maintenance team to address issues, ensuring a smooth, professional workspace.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, with a pay range of $20–$23 per hour and a full benefits package. Prior cleaning experience is required.

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Ability to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of commercial office space.
• Dust and disinfect training and conference rooms.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and breakrooms; ensure supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Stage and clean shared meeting rooms before/after use.
• Stock and maintain the supply room.
• Coordinate with maintenance and office coordinator to address issues.

What you will do:

• Maintain cleanliness of commercial office space.
• Dust and disinfect commonly used areas such as training and conference rooms
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors of various types.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and breakrooms, and ensure that soaps, paper products, and other resources are available for use.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Ensure that shared meeting rooms are staged and cleaned prior to and after use.
• Stock and maintain supply room
• Work closely with the maintenance team as well as office coordinator to address any potential issues.

• Ability to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment.

• Ability to work independently

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
• This job is performed in a commercial office space and in warehouse .

Salary Range: $20-$23/hr.

Location: Cranbury, NJ

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm OR 2:30pm-11pm
