Position Overview

interaction24 is currently hiring for a machine manufacturing client in Ewing, NJ. We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Warehouse Picker/Packer to support its fulfillment and shipping operations. This role is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer orders including industrial chemical cleaning solutions and equipment accessories. The ideal candidate takes safety seriously, works with precision, and has strong experience with detailed documentation processes in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately according to pick tickets, packing slips, and shipping documentation
  • Safely receive, inspect, verify, and store products including industrial chemical cleaning solutions
  • Complete standard shipping and receiving documentation accurately including bills of lading
  • When regulated or hazardous materials are involved, perform the additional documentation process: review Safety Data Sheets (SDS), verify proper labeling and markings, and accurately complete or annotate required hazmat sections on shipping/receiving paperwork
  • Inspect outgoing orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging integrity
  • Receive and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Store products in designated locations following proper storage requirements and safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times following 5S standards
  • Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts as needed
  • Collaborate with production, customer service, and shipping teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Report any damaged goods, discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately
Required Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment environment
  • Strong experience completing detailed documentation and following strict procedures (SOPs, batch records, or compliance paperwork)
  • Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and accurate record-keeping in a regulated setting is highly valued
  • Strong attention to detail — accuracy in picking, packing, and documentation is critical
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to DOT hazardous materials shipping paperwork or bills of lading
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical, chemical distribution, industrial supply, or manufacturing warehouse environments
  • DOT Hazmat training, OSHA 10 certification, or Forklift certification
  • Familiarity with shipping platforms and inventory management systems
