Job summary

Souto Foods in Georgia is seeking a warehouse picker to accurately select, organize, and pallet items according to customer orders and SQF standards.

You will use pallet jacks, lift cases up to 50 pounds, and work under minimal supervision while meeting productivity goals. Training on Warehouse Management Systems is provided to ensure accurate, on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and proper palletization.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select, organize, and create the pallet according to SQF standards of the correct products required by the customer.
• Seal and tag containers, confirm order accuracy, and sign pick tickets.
• Operate a single or double pallet jack safely.
• Reach, lift, and stack cases up to 50 pounds.
• Follow training documents and procedures related to SQF.
• Proficient use of Warehouse Management Systems.

Overview

Choose the products with precision and create the pallet to complete the orders for proper shipment to customers in accordance with Souto's quality and performance standards.

Faster travel, lift and lower speeds reduce order picking time, the most labor-intensive materials handling function.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select, organize, and create the palette according to SQF standards of the correct products required by the customer, ensuring no damage occurs during delivery.


• Sealing and tagging containers, confirming accuracy of orders and signing pick tickets to confirm.


• Must operate and use a single or double pallet jack in a safe manner.


• Must be able to reach, lift, and stack cases ranging in weight from 1 to 50 pounds.


• Responsible for following and completing all training documents and procedures as it relates to SQF.


• May be required to perform other tasks as needed.


• Become proficient on Warehouse Management Systems.


• Meet and comply standard Warehouse productivity.
