Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Warehouse Associate to accurately select products from the warehouse, assemble orders on pallets, and prepare shipments. You will label items, operate an electric pallet jack, and maintain a clean, safe environment while following GMP and SQF guidelines.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 100 lbs, stand for long shifts, and work in cold environments. Prior warehouse experience is helpful, with a focus on accuracy and safety in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift 10–75 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Stand for 10–12 hours daily.
• Work in extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).

Responsibilities

• Read customer order from label screen and select product by slot and description.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
• Attach labels on product.
• Operate an electric pallet jack (2-pallet length) to proceed to correct slot location, and transport product to dock area for staging.
• Handle products with the necessary care.
• Report any damage of merchandise, equipment or facility to a supervisor.
• Perform daily equipment checks.
• Assist in the clean-up of the facility and sign off on the daily cleaning area that the supervisor may assign.
• Sign in and out for all equipment when used.
• Use basic communication skills to understand work systems, instructions, etc.
• Adhere to all applicable GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), personal hygiene, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies and procedures as described in the European Imports - Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 0 - 1 Year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift product that weighs 10lb - 75lbs and up to 100lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Work on your feet for 10 - 12 hours daily.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• 1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
• 1 year Selection Experience.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
