Job summary

Ramar Foods in Texas is seeking a warehouse associate to support order picking, staging, and shipping in a cold/freezer environment. You will use handheld scanners or pick sheets to fulfill orders, verify codes, and prepare items for delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or order-picking experience is a plus.
• Experience in cold/freezer environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret order sheets, labels, and barcodes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in cold/freezing conditions for extended periods.
• Basic math skills for order verification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Pick products to match customer orders using handheld scanners or pick sheets.
• Stage and prepare picked orders for shipping and delivery.
• Verify product codes, quantities, and lot numbers for accuracy.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift when certified.
• Maintain inventory records and assist in cycle counts.
• Follow OSHA safety policies and food-handling protocols.
• Report damaged, expired, or incorrect products to supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Order Picking & Staging
• • Accurately pick products according to customer orders using handheld scanners or pick sheets
  • Stage and prepare picked orders for shipping and delivery
  • Verify product codes, quantities, and lot numbers to ensure accuracy
• Cold/Freezer Environment Operations
• • Work in environments ranging from refrigerated to freezer
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements
  • Safely operate equipment including but not limited to pallet jack, forklift, and reach truck (if and only when certified)
• Inventory & Quality Control
• • Assist in cycle counts, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Report damaged, expired, or incorrect products to supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of picking areas
• Safety & Compliance
• • Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
  • Use appropriate techniques and safe material handling practices
  • Follow all food safety and handling protocols
• Other Duties as Assigned
