This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy, including loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Employees work from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position ensures accuracy in loading and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is essential. The role may require working in various weather conditions, with shift hours varying based on workload.
Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets of products from the warehouse onto trailers and removing returned pallets or flats. The role includes unloading raw materials into designated warehouse spaces, selecting products and flavors for bulk and route trucks, and loading them onto pallets, ensuring stability through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. Pallets are then loaded onto trailers for local delivery. The position also involves unloading returned products and pallets.
The role requires lifting cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly, along with constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
