Job description

To view our Warehouse Person (Loader) Realistic Job Preview Video, this labor-intensive position is responsible for hand-building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Works from electronic order systems or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. The position may be required to work in various weather conditions, with shift hours depending on workload and may vary daily.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets of products onto trailers and removing returned pallets/flat
  2. Unload raw materials and store them in designated warehouse spaces
  3. Load designated packages and flavors onto pallets, ensuring stability through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping
  4. Unload returned products and pallets/flat
  5. Customize product packages for each truck based on sales orders
  6. Lift cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly, requiring constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping
  7. Drive power pallet jack or forklift to build pallets according to load sheets or voice pick systems
  8. Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items
  9. Wrap completed pallets and stage/load them into trucks
  10. Complete partial pallets and organize mixed pallets
  11. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area
  12. Ensure regular, reliable attendance
Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older

Helpful Experience:

  • Experience in warehouse operations, including order picking, staging, and operating powered pallet jacks or forklifts
  • Experience with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
