This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk, and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Employees work from electronic order systems or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. Work may involve various weather conditions and hours, depending on workload. The shift duration can vary daily.
Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets of products onto trailers and removing returned pallets or flats. Unloading raw materials and placing them in designated warehouse spaces is also required. Bulk truck loading involves selecting designated packages and flavors, then loading and stacking them properly on pallets for shipment.
Route truck loading involves selecting packages or pallets based on sales orders and loading them into trucks. The role includes unloading returned products and pallets.
This position requires lifting 20-45 pounds repeatedly during long shifts, along with standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
